Often Hitachi HDDs have a problem with the damaged NVRAM.

As we can see drive can’t be detected automatically and we should open utility forced.

Pay attention to the log report and FW version.

In this case we see the problem with loading “open” modules and diferences in F/W version.
在这种情况下,我们看到加载“open“模块和F/W版本差异的问题。
Open the list of Service area modules, check all of them and fix the problem modules if need.
In this case we have perfect state of all SA modules, but Drive ID still can’t be recognized.
打开服务区域模块的列表,检查所有的模块列表,并修复问题模块,在这种情况下,我们看到所有的模块状态都正常,但驱动器号仍然不能被识别。
As we remember – we have a differences between f/w version in NVRAM and SA modules.
Then Drive behavior caused by this problem.
Take a look that drive have NVRC module inside the Service area and it’s OK.
Create a backup of this module and current NVRAM image.
Compare these files in HexEdit, they are have a different f/w version in header.
Write NVRC module as NVRAM image.
Pay attention that Writing NVRAM window show only *.nvr files, but our NVRC module image have *.bin extension.
Type in “File name” field *.* and press Enter.

Select NVRC file and press Open.
Check at log report that NVRAM is successfully wrote.
Re-rurn the power supply and re-read Drive ID.
再重新打开电源并读取硬盘ID
Drive is recognized perfectly. Check the users area access.
硬盘驱动器已经完美识别。检查访问用户区数据。
