Read Retry is a command that can be sent to memory chip before reading
读取重试是一个命令,可以在读取之前发送给内存芯片
It can improve quality of ECC map
它可以提高ECC位图的质量
Some chips have this command, some not.
有些芯片有这个命令,有些则没有。
Command can be different for different chips

To use Retry command fill Retry field in config

And reread chip

Sandisk is command type name
Sandisk是命令类型的名称
10 is retry value

There is different command type names for different chips

Each type have different possible value range

With different values you will have different result
有不同的值你会得到不同的结果
Each chip and each bank of same chip can have different Retry value

Best Retry Value
To find best Retry Value you can use “Test Retry” function at mix editor
若要找到最佳重试值,可以在混合编辑器中使用 “Test Retry” 功能
– Insert chip in reader
-在阅读器中插入芯片
– Select chip and bank at mix editor
-在混合编辑器中选择芯片和 bank
– Select worst place on ECC map
-在ECC位图上选择最差的地方
– Do not select start of dump on ECC map
-不要选择dump在ECC位图的开始
– Run this funcion

If chip config have predefined retry value, use it for test

If not, you can try all retry command from list

Function will check all possible Retry values with this command

And show best value

This function do not change dump files

Need copy found value in config Retry field

And reread dump

Need repeat this operation for all chips and banks

Options选项
Combine 结合:
Calc statictics only for red sectors in main dump. So, it will show what Retry Value to use to make dump better at red places
计算统计信息仅适用于主dump中的红色扇区。 所以,它将显示使用什么重试值以使dump在红色位置更好
To find Retry Value for first read use Combine = Off
要查找重试值首次阅读使用Combine = Off
To find Retry Value for second read use Combine = On

If ECC map is still not perfect

Make Test Retry with option “Combine” = On

It will count only sectors with red ECC

If found good Retry value, read new dumps in temporary folder

Open dumps in main folder, and make ECC Combine
